DETRRROIITTT BASKETTTBALLL!!
Detroit, let's go!
All we did was win again!
The Pistons tied a franchise record with 13 straight wins after taking down the terrible Indiana Pacers 122-117 on Monday.
This is only the third time in franchise history Detroit has hit 13 straight:
2003-04 (Championship year)
1989-90 (Championship year)
2024-25 … you see where I’m going with this?
Cade Cunningham — HIM Cunningham, Pastor Fourth Quarter, CEO of Clutch Enterprises — led the way with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists, while Jalen Duren went double-double shopping again with 17 and 12.
Let’s talk about Cade though.
My guy is averaging 10.8 points per game in the 4th quarter, No. 1 in the entire NBA. He's shooting 54.8% from the field and 45.8% from three in those crunch-time frames.
That’s not clutch. That’s criminal behavior. Somebody call 911 — he’s robbing defenses blind.
And his numbers over the last 13 games?
28.2 PPG, 8.2 APG, 7.2 RPG, 1.4 SPG.
His numbers over his last six games?
30.7 PPG, 9.7, APG 7.0 RPG, 1.7 SPG.
That’s MVP-level production on a nightly basis. That’s “my bad, Giannis, scoot over” production.
Detroit is now 15-2 and sitting atop the Eastern Conference like it’s 2004 all over again.
And to think…just two seasons ago? We tied the NBA record for the longest losing streak EVER at 28 straight losses — a stretch so rough it felt like the team was allergic to winning.
Games slipped away faster than free drink tickets at a Detroit club.
From 94-290 over five years…To 13 straight wins and the No. 1 seed. You can’t make that up.
Detroit is a city of fighters. Hustlers. People who turn adversity into profit.
And right now? The Pistons are the perfect reflection of that energy.
Jalen Duren is playing like a future All-NBA center: 20.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 68.3% shooting his last 13 games.
Ausar Thompson is defending everything that moves. Jaden Ivey is finally hooping free again. Isaiah Stewart is setting screens like he hates people. Tobias Harris and Duncan Robinson doing vet things.
Everybody’s locked in.
Trajan Langdon (the architect) and JB Bickerstaff (the enforcer) — salute.
The Pistons aren’t just back. They’re loud. They’re confident. They’re here to stay.
WHAT UP DOE!
