Ladies and gentlemen, let me say this loud and clear: Paige Bueckers is HER.

I don’t care that Dallas lost. I don’t care that the Wings are struggling in the standings.

What this young lady did against the Sparks was nothing short of breathtaking.

44 points. On 17-of-21 shooting. That’s 80 percent.

80!

I’ve seen All-Stars, MVPs, and Hall-of-Famers who can’t sniff that level of efficiency.

She didn’t just get buckets — she got masterclass buckets. Off the dribble, off screens, midrange, three-ball, free throws… you name it, she gave it to them.

And the history? Oh, it’s there.

Bueckers didn’t just drop a career high. She broke a rookie record that stood since 2008, when Candace Parker scored 40 in her first season.

And just like Parker, Paige looks like the type of rookie that doesn’t just play in this league, she might one day define it.

Understand something, folks: Paige accounted for 55% of her team’s points.

55 percent!

That’s the fifth-highest share in WNBA history.

You know who else pulled that off?

Tina Thompson back in 2004 — a Hall of Famer. That’s the neighborhood Paige is already living in.

Now let me address the elephant in the room.

Yes, Caitlin Clark has dominated the headlines.

And let me be very clear: Caitlin deserves her flowers. She’s changed the visibility of the women’s game, she’s filling arenas, and she’s as lethal a shooter as we’ve ever seen.

But Paige Bueckers? Oh, she’s here to remind you that she was HER long before Caitlin-mania hit the scene.

Paige is smooth, calculated, efficient, and dangerous. She doesn’t just hunt highlights; she controls games. She’s the type of guard that can sell tickets AND win championships.

And let me tell you something right now: barring injury, Paige Bueckers has the chance to OWN the WNBA for the next decade.

She’s averaging 19.7 points, 5.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals. She’s shooting nearly 50% from the floor. She’s already a Top 5 scorer in the league and sits third among ALL guards, behind only Kelsey Plum and Kelsey Mitchell.

The Dallas Wings may be 9-27, but don’t get it twisted, Paige has already arrived. She’s leading all rookies in points, assists, and steals. She’s a lock for Rookie of the Year. And if you can’t see the star power radiating off this young woman, then you need to get your eyes checked because even the great Steven Wonder can see it.

So what’s the bottom line? It’s simple. Paige Bueckers is HIM — excuse me, HER.

And if this is just the beginning, Lord have mercy on the rest of the WNBA. Because this young lady is about to terrorize the league for years to come.

Mark my words.
