Well deserved!

Eagles star RB Saquon Barkley has leaped his way onto the cover of Madden 2026.

I mean, after the monster season he just had, who else would it go to?

Barkley rushed for a league-leading 2,005 yards this past season. That’s not just running the ball — that’s painting a masterpiece between the tackles.

He tallied 13 rushing touchdowns, earned a Pro Bowl nod, was named All-Pro, and somehow finished third in MVP voting.

I’ll say it loud and clear: he should’ve won MVP over Josh Allen, period.

Let me be blunt — Barkley didn’t just have a good season. He had a "put the team on my back, break three tackles, and hurdle your favorite linebacker" type of season.

His iconic reverse hurdle over a Jacksonville Jaguars defender wasn’t just a highlight — it was a statement.

A reminder that this man isn’t just built different — he’s sculpted like a football demigod with the mindset of a Philly bulldog.

And for the city of Philadelphia?

Oh, this is a full-circle moment.

Saquon becomes the first Eagles player on a Madden cover since Donovan McNabb in 2006— nearly 20 years ago.

Twenty!

McNabb walked so Saquon could hurdle.

Now let’s talk ratings — because EA Sports isn’t playing.

Barkley is rocking a 99 overall rating, the first Eagles player in franchise history to ever receive one.

Let that sink in. Not Brian Dawkins. Not even T.O. in his short-but-legendary stint.

Saquon Barkley.

You know Gillie Da Kid has to be somewhere losing his mind over this. I can hear “Blow The Whistle” blasting through North Philly right now with Gillie yelling, “WHO HE PLAY FOR?!”

Saquon just turned Madden into Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares intro.

And let’s not forget the details — Madden 26 drops August 14 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The standard edition will run you $69.99, while the deluxe edition— which probably lets you hurdle from the loading screen — will cost $99.99.

So whether you’re a Kansas City Chiefs fan still salty, a Jaguars defender still dizzy from the hurdle, or a Madden-head counting down the days—you’re going to feel this one.

And oh yeah — if you believe in curses, don't bring that weak stuff here.

Saquon isn't cursed — he's chosen.
